Assessment of Professional 21st Century Competencies in Environmental Students: A Case Study (In review)

To address the challenge of developing soft skills in higher education, the Environmental Studies program at University of Nebraska-Lincoln forges a partnership with TTI Success Insights (TTISI) to explore the research question, “To what extent can TTISI’s Personal Soft Skills Indicator™ (PSSI) questionnaire be adapted to provide information about the development of professional competencies among environmental studies students?” When examined by gender, there was a significant pre-post difference (p<0.05) for analytic and systematic problem solving and negotiating conflict.
